You’re Never Too Young To Change The World

Child and youth therapist at the Xit’olacw Community School, Tanya Richman, and director of the Pemberton and District Library, Shannon Ellis, were so inspired by their daughters’ desires to change the world, that they decided to do something about it.

This summer, from July 10-14, daily from 10-11am, the Pemberton Library hosts a ‘Junior World Changer’ group.

It’s about empowering kids to help kids all over the world.

This group is a place to explore the idea of social justice and learn how to be active, involved global citizens.

Learn about Free the Children projects in Ecuador, China, Kenya, Sierra Leone, India and Haiti. Discover what we take for granted and how you can change the world by just being aware!

We’ll discuss things like safety, education, access to clean water, community participation, decision making and more!

For youth aged 8 – 12, from July 10th to the 13th 10 am to 11am. Register at The Pemberton Public Library.
