Dragon-boaters, your community is proud of you!

At this weekend’s Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival, Pemberton paddlers once more proved their might.

The Laoyam Eagles continue their winning streak, taking their 14th consecutive junior title. The Laoyam Falcons placed third in the same Championship final, putting both teams on the podium.

Congratulations, too, to the Pemberton Bald Eagles, for their 2nd place in the Women’s Competitive Championship.

Shout-out to the mighty Hugh Fisher, who was recognised last year by the Winds of Change Wellness Awards for his work coaching local paddlers.
