Spring is the season for community fundraisers – with Lip Sync Battles, socials, silent auctions and golf tournaments keeping your calendar packed with good times for great causes.
The Red Devils Alumni Association raises funds to ensure local students can participate in sporting events.

Here’s some background, via the Red Devils:
This is a public event organized by the Alumni Association, and it’s not only for people who graduated from Pemberton Secondary. The fundraiser has generated $20,000 a year, for the past three years, and it supports all extra-curricular sports teams, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, basketball and mountain biking.
Of the money raised, the association commits the funds to:
#1 – Tournament Entry Fees (roughly $10,000/year)
-without this the costs would be passed onto the parents
#2 – Support Provincial Teams
-just gave $4500 to senior boys and girls basketball teams attending Provincial championships – It was a $450 trip that parents (with the help of large Area C donation) only paid $50 for
#3 – Equipment/Uniforms
-ex. Bought large racks for mountain bikes to maximize the amount of student in cars
-bought soccer balls, volleyballs, basketball uniforms, soccer nets, etc.
#4 – Bus Fund
-any money left over at the end of the year is going to a bus fund, with purchasing a travel bus for the teams – getting close!!
The event starts with a golf tournament during the day at Big Sky (11:00am shotgun start), and then a dinner/dance at the high school, complete with a band, DJ, casino, silent and live auction, and of course dinner.

Volunteers are super welcome to help:
-Set-up during the day of
-Kitchen staff (food prep during the day and at night serving, bussing tables, cleaning dishes)
-Helping out the night of (selling drink tickets, taking tickets at the door)
