The high point of summer? Amie Le Blanc captures moments you want to bottle, and keep forever, at the Father Daughter Dance

I didn’t take this photo on top of a mountain or on the beach at sunset, but it just might be my favourite shot from the entire summer.

I  snapped this photo at the Pemberton Father Daughter Dance earlier this summer – and I have been SO excited to share it publicly!

I have had the honour of capturing dads dancing with their daughters at the PFDD for a couple of years now, and I always look forward to it. So many tender moments and genuine smiles!

I attended the very first Father Daughter Dance in Pemberton with my dad when I was 12 (nearly 15 years ago!!) I remember how special that was to my sister and I, and I get so excited knowing that some of these photos are going to be looked at for many years in the future.

I picked this one to share in particular, because her face is just so full of love and happiness – not always an easy expression to capture – and completely pure of posing or being conscious of the camera. Adults so often pay too much attention to the camera!
